The Massage Therapy Handbook Series ~ All 3 Books (You save $14 (36%) when you buy all 3!)

These three books represent my years of experience as a massage therapist, business owner, entrepreneur and teacher. They are all the lessons I learned the hard way and now I am passing them on to you. My hope for you is that after reading about the mistakes I’ve made and the learning I took away from each failure you can save yourself a lot of time, money and needless frustration. Each book covers different aspects of running a massage practice as a sole proprietor or solo practitioner. So whether you’re a seasoned MT looking to take your practice to the next level or fresh out of school and looking for where to begin, these books were written to help you succeed.

The first book “Practice Building” covers a wide variety of topics that can affect how smoothly your small business runs. Being a sole proprietor means that you wear a lot of different hats, often simultaneously. “Practice Building” will not only get you to start asking yourself serious questions about what kind of practice you want to create for yourself but will also help you formulate some goals to help make it happen. This book discusses how to start seeing yourself as a professional business person and some tips to help you legally protect what you have created. Things to consider when pursuing continuing education or even how to start a referral network of other health professionals are also talked about.

Book two is called “Financial Strategies” because for long time, I didn’t have one and it ended up costing me a lot of money. In it, I talk about all the financial topics that have affected the health of my bottom line. From creating simple personal and business budgets to tracking expenses to the importance of planning for retirement, I tried to leave no stone unturned. I have also included detailed discussions on the financial burden of paying with credit cards and how planning early for major expenses can actually save you money. Also included in this book are tips on negotiating your rent for office space and tips to setting and raising your fees.

The third book in the series is all about “Marketing”. The four types of marketing (including one that’s amazingly effective and unique to massage therapy) are discussed in detail along with the pros & cons of each type. I have also included information on what information to include on brochures and business cards as well as some ideas for your web site.
