Clinical Deep Tissue

Clinical Deep Tissue Massage is a much more specific approach to working with soft tissue dysfunction. Deep Tissue work combines elements of myofascial release, sports massage and trigger point work in order to address specific tissue damage and pain. The damage might be from any number or combination of causes such as trauma, strain and repetitive stress and the pain may be chronic or acute. The affected tissues can be muscles, tendons, cartilage, ligaments or fascia. The trigger points and/or scar tissue in these structures can cause referred pain and discomfort elsewhere in the body. By working these trigger points and breaking up the scar tissue, the referred pain can be diminished and the damaged tissues restored to health.
